New wireless menu in Today screen

By using this teak you can display the status of wireless technologies (i.e. GSM, WiFi, and Bluetooth) in your WindowsMobile 2005 device in Today screen (see the picture). The new plug-in shows status, such as Off, Searching, GSM operator name for the GSM or the name of WiFi or bluetooth device that is connected to your PDA. Here comes the procedure:

In HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\ create a new key with the name “Wireless” – i.e. the path will looks like this: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\”Wireless” (the quotation marks included). In this new key create the following items:

DWORD, name Flags, value 0
DWORD, name Options, value 0
String Value, name DLL, value netui.dll
DWORD, name Order, value 0
DWORD, name Enabled, value 1
DWORD, name Type, value 4

After you have successfully finished the above procedure, restart your PDA. Source: HTC Club.
